Today, in cooperation with the Planning and Budgeting Council, we are
embarking on a community-wide City College of San Francisco (CCSF)
Donation Drive. If each CCSF employee and student donates $5 or more, we
can raise over $500,000 - half a million dollars! All money collected
will go directly to the restoration of classes and services at CCSF for
the Fall semester.
Please consider making a donation of whatever you can. Each donation
matters. A little from each can make a big difference for all.

I mean, really? Is this what it's coming down to? You've already raised the price per unit, textbooks are extremely expensive, and now you want us to donate money? Of course, they must do what they can, and hell, i might even give them five dollars, but it's just dumbfounding to me that the school i pay money to go to is asking everyone for donations because they're doing so poorly. What is this world coming to when the schools can't get shit from their government and have to start begging for student donations? This shouldn't be how education works, and it sure as hell isn't.
(Please, if this is something CCSF does annually, let me know, because i'd like to know if i'm completely wrong in my judgements.)
